A Time For Reflection

Internet Marketing Consultant

As we close in on the Thanksgiving holiday (for those living in the United States), many people's thoughts turn to what we're thankful for. This time of year always makes us reflect on all the blessings that have been bestowed on us. The following list  represents the "tip of the iceberg" for us.

What We're Thankful For

  • Family & Friends. There is no substitute for a close circle of people who love you, no matter what. Most of us are so busy with our daily lives that we often take for granted what is most precious to us. Why not take a few minutes today to let the special people in your life know how special they really are?

Want more time with your family? »

  • The Ability To Grow & Learn. Now, more than any other time in our history, we have instant access to amazing sources of learning. The Internet has brought more great knowledge and experience to our doorstep than any other medium in history. We should all be taking advantage of these fantastic resources.

Leadership training & personal development »

  • Network Marketing. Thanks to our home business, we have the formula for success, including the specific techniques to create leverage and duplication. We can't think of any other industry that provides these benefits without investing our life savings.

  • Our Team. Anybody who has been in the industry for any length of time will tell you that there is an 80/20 Rule - 80% of the volume will come from 20% of your team. Our experience indicates that a 90/10 Rule is more accurate. Either way, you need to be very selective about who you invest your time in, since there are quite a few people who "talk a good game." We recommend using an Interview Process, with homework assignments, to separate the "talkers" from the "doers."

  • Automation. Tools like viral marketing websites, voice broadcasting, and email marketing do more than 99% of the work for us. These tools do virtually all the "busy" work for us (contacting & inviting, presenting & educating, sifting & sorting, qualifying & selling, etc.) This frees up our time to focus on the most important things - working with our team members and spending quality time with family.

Have you put together your list yet? If not, it could be a real eye opener. We suggest you set aside some time for yourself, take a few moments to reflect on what's great in your life, and then put it down to paper. You may be surprised at what you come up with.

A Recipe For Internet Marketing Success

Have you ever thought about this ... What do successful cooks and successful networkers have in common? Most people can make a Caesar Salad or lasagna is they have a recipe to follow. Why is it that most networkers (to the tune of 95%) are not as successful as they would like to be?

The answer is ... They don't have a recipe to follow! Most new Internet network marketers are told to build a list and write compelling email messages to drive prospects to their website. That's like trying to follow a recipe that tells you to first combine noodles, cheese & sauce and then cook it. How many attempts would it take you to cook a great lasagna following that recipe?

OK, are you ready for the recipe for Internet Network Marketing success?

  1. Target the right audience. Decide who you want to market to and find a way to put your business in front of that very specific audience 75% of the time. Make sure your ad copy headlines, and content speak about what's important to that audience.
  2. Consistently Expose Your Business. There are hundreds of different ways to advertise and expose your business. Do the research, choose the methods/tools that fit your budget and circumstances, and stick with it. No advertising, at any level, works well without continuous exposure. The Super Bowl ads, priced at $2 million for a 30 second ad, are shown consistently throughout the rest of the year.
  3. Choose Your Partners Wisely.
  4. Focus On Duplication. Many people in this industry will tell you the secret to success is duplicating your efforts. That's not always correct ... you really need duplicate your results. Duplicating your efforts doesn't guarantee results. You should evaluate everything you do (advertising, phone calls, presentations, interview techniques, etc.) and decide whether your team members can easily duplicate it. If not, back to the drawing board.

We could spend the next several days breaking these 4 items into individual ingredients, portion sizes, and cooking times, but that would mean giving away all the recipes that makes our restaurant unique. If you want to learn more, check out this site:

The most important thing to remember is find someone who is successful, decide whether what they do makes sense to you, and then C.A.S.E. them (Copy And Steal Everything). We don't mean this in a bad way, it's just the formula for success in any industry ... find a mentor and become a sponge; soaking in all their knowledge and experience. Most successful people have a mentor they learned from.
